Donald R. Therrien, 63, of Belmont died on November 11, 2002 at the VA Hospital in White River Junction, Vermont after a lengthy illness. Mr. Therrien was born on September 7, 1939 in Haverhill, MA son of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Stevens) Therrien. He was a U S Army Veteran who served during the Cold War in Germany. He was a chef at George's Diner in Meredith for six years and was forced to retire due to his illness. He was a former chef at Shalimar Resort in Winnisquam where he worked for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Rod and Gun Club in Laconia. He was also a member of the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post 1 for 27 years and was a former member of the VFW Post 1670 in Laconia. Family members include; his wife of 11 years, Debra (Ball) Therrien; two sons, Marvin Therrien of Kirbyville, Texas and Donald R. Therrien Jr. of Call, Texas; one daughter, Michelle Powers of Call, Texas; several grandchildren; one brother, A. Rosco Noble of Stetson, Maine; one sister, Charlene Therrien of Haverhill, MA; several nieces and nephews and three aunts. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 18th at 11:00 AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
