Donna D. McClain

Born on October 14, 1964, Donna lived a life defined by love, service to others, and devotion to God. Raising three children in California and New Hampshire alongside her soulmate Keith, Donna selflessly supported the passions of an ever growing family. From feeding football players, to helping with hair for plays, to countless hours spent at baton practice, Donna always put her family and others before herself. Donna even became ordained, and was able to marry her son, Sam to his wife, Alex, this past fall.

Outside of being a loving mother and wife, Donna poured her heart into Memorial Elementary School as a paraprofessional for 13 years, where she touched countless lives and made lifelong friends. When not serving others, she loved to read at the beach, travel with family, cook delicious meals, and bully loved ones while playing cards.

Donna is survived by her adoring husband of 30 years, her three children, and close friends considered family: Keith McClain of Derry, NH, Katie McClain of Atkinson, NH,  Sam & Alex McClain of Denver, CO, Brenna McClain of Boston, MA, and friends Bobby and Riley Jones of Lexington, VA. 

Donna will be remembered for her infectious smile, kind heart, intense optimism, and love for others.  The world lost a bit of human sunshine, but we know Donna will shine brightly in her new role as guardian angel. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held on February 11, 2022 from 4-7 PM with a Celebration of Life being held on February 12, 2022 at 11 AM, both at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center on Donna’s behalf.
