Donna Rygiel

On May 5, 2024, Donna Marie Drown Rygiel passed in Dover, New Hampshire, with her family by her side. She was 71 years old. Donna was born on September 23rd, 1952, in Newburyport, MA. She grew up in Mariana, Florida, but eventually moved back to New Hampshire, where she met her future husband. Donna and Steve met when he was stationed at Pease AFB, where he was a SSGT awaiting orders.

Steve and Donna married in 1980, and he became father to her 5 children. A big moment early on was when she obtained her GED at Elsworth AFB in SD. It was a defining moment for them. Donna then went on to accounting school. Through all the years, they were known as Nana & Pappy and friend to so many.  Donna was an avid photographer who also had a love for painting. She was very much into preserving heritage and photos for her family. Donna's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She was a unique and kind soul and will be missed greatly. 

Donna was predeceased by her late husband, John Stephen Rygiel, and survived by her five children. 

Tonja Spann, her 5 children Michael, Andre, Danielle, Anthony and Allie, as well as 7 great grandchildren.

 Regina Ponce, her husband Tavo, and 2 children,  Angelica, Javier, as well as 2 great grandchildren.

 Joe Baker, fiancee Kim, his 2 children Joseph and Ryan.  

 Ron Baker, his wife Jackie, his 2 children, Erin and Logan. 

 MaryAnn Rix, her husband Rob, 2 children Caleb and Savannah.

Donna is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Davis, Bridget Wallace, Debbie Spurlock, Lisa Neff, and their families.
