Doris A. Nixon 79, of Litchfield, died Friday August 18th at Community Hospice House in Merrimack. Mrs. Nixon was born in Nashua, the daughter of Robert and Violet Andrew. She grew up in Hudson and lived many years there. Doris was a graduate of Nashua High School and obtained her RN at Mass Memorial Hospital in Boston. She was an OR nurse and also did private duty nursing before her retirement. She enjoyed time with her family and was an avid reader. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry Nixon, her son, David Nixon and her granddaughter Jennifer Nixon. Survivors include two sons, Robert Nixon and his wife Donna of Mason, and Richard Nixon and his wife Linda of Nashua; two daughters, Patricia Byron and her husband Frank of Litchfield, with whom she made her home, and Laurie Nixon of Springfield, NH; 11 grandchildren, Kristen Nixon, Kimberly Nixon, Marc Nixon and Thomas Nixon, Aaron Nixon, Jamie Nixon, Nicholas Nixon, Amy Byron, Megan Byron, Michael Byron, and Kyle Parent; and two great grandchildren, Bryce Vaillancourt and Thomas Cotzin; and a brother Robert Andrew and his wife Mary of Northwood, NH.
