Dorothy B. Browne

Dorothy B. Browne, 87, of Salem died October 23, 2003 at Salemhaven Nursing Home following a period of declining health. Mrs. Browne was born on August 11, 1916 in Newburyport, MA the daughter of the late Harold K. and Elizabeth (Johnson) Walton. She graduated in 1934 from Newburyport High School. She was employed as an engineer's release clerk at Raytheon where she worked for 13 years. While at Raytheon she met and married Audley W. Browne. They were married to for 32 years prior to his death one year ago. After retiring the Browne's moved to Hobe Sound, Florida. Family members include; two sons, Gordon Browne of Windham, Maine and Bruce Browne of Nashua, NH; one daughter, Deborah Browne of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth McCaig of Georgetown, MA; and two nephews, Cliff Berry of NC and Richard Berry of CA. She was predeceased by three brothers, Harold K. Walton Jr., Stewart Walton and Webster Walton. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th at 2:00 PM the Salemhaven Chapel.
