Gilmore, Dorothy W. View/Sign Guest Book MANCHESTER -- Dorothy W. Gilmore, 90, died July 7, 2008, at home. She was born May 20, 1918, in Manchester, to Marion and Harris Williamson. She graduated from Manchester High School Central in 1936 and was a lifelong resident. She attended First United Methodist Church, where she served as church secretary for 27 years. She was a den mother, Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the church's Knit and Sew Group, 3 in 1, Sunshine Group, and Friendship Circle. She was a member of the Seacoast Striders, and with her husband, Richard, participated in volksmarchs throughout all 50 states. She loved music, dance, and traveled extensively across the country and throughout the world. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Richard Gilmore, in 2007. Family members include three daughters, Ellen Zampino of Greenwich, Conn., Cindy Gilmore of Nevada City, Calif., and Debra Morina of Manchester; one son, Gary Gilmore of Dover; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother; Winston Williamson of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a sister, Beverly Evans of Manchester; and 15 nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 961 Valley St., Manchester. A committal service will be at NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen following the service. Memorial donations may be made to Marion and Harris Williamson Fund, c/o First United Methodist Church, 961 Valley St., Manchester 03103.
