Dorothy M. Hill, 87, of Hillsborough, died March 3, 2008. Mrs. Hill was born in Hillburn, New York, the daughter of Irving and Ruth (Degraw) Conklin. Dorothy graduated from Suffern High School in New York, and worked at a drug store there. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Suffern, and taught Sunday school. She married George V. Hill on September 17, 1955 After living in Mahwah, New Jersey, and Suffern, she moved to Monroe, New York with her family in 1969, where she kept a beautiful home and garden. From there, she moved with her family to New Hampshire in 1976. Dorothy worked at Nathaniel Hawthorne College in Antrim for many years, and Sylvania in Hillsborough. She loved her family, and holidays. Dorothy also loved to cook, read, and shop. She loved Hollywood's golden era of the 1930's and '40's, and her favorite singer was Bing Crosby. Growing up, she attended Broadway shows, and saw many of the biggest stars of the time. Dorothy loved to go out and enjoy life. She was predeceased by her husband George, and daughter Ruth Ann. Family members include three children, George and Diane of Hillsborough; and Nelson of Jeffersonville, NY.; four grandchildren, Deborah, Nelson, Christopher, and Diana, all of NY. Final arrangements are private. There will be a memorial service in the future.
