Dorothy Muriel Pepin

Dorothy Muriel Pepin (Jalbert) lost her courageous battle to cancer on August 12, 2021 in her home in Peterborough, surrounded by her children.

Dorothy was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on February 6, 1938 to Doris and Edward Jalbert.

Dot, as she liked to be called, met the love of her life, Raymond “Ray” Pepin, at the age of 14 while working at the White Gobbler restaurant in Nashua. Ray, a dishwasher and Dot a waitress, spent days at work filled with lots of laughs and flirting which eventually led to their marriage in 1958. Together Ray and Dot decided to move from their brand new home in Hudson, New Hampshire to a 200 year old fixer-upper farmhouse in Peterborough, New Hampshire, with the dream of offering their four children, Mark, Debbie, Kathy and Arthur a wonderful home with lots of land to play and roam. Riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, street hockey games and playing tennis on a court Ray built were among the many fun things they provided. Dot and Ray retired and moved to Conway, South Carolina until Ray’s death in 2016. Dot briefly lived in East Haven, Connecticut then settled back into Peterborough just two years ago.

Dot enjoyed watching Days of our Lives and other nostalgic Television shows. She walked every day. She loved Bingo, couponing and finding a good bargain. She loved her family, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren very much.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Raymond Pepin, and her son Mark Pepin.

She is survived by her daughter Deb Blair of Redmond, Oregon, her daughter Katherine Forrest from Peterborough, New Hampshire and son Art Pepin of Londonderry, New Hampshire. She also leaves behind her brother John Jalbert, her sisters Jackie Jalbert and Janet Moon and her daughter in law Donna Pepin and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.
