Dorothy Richardson, 102, of Manchester, NH died Jan 3, 2017.
She was born in Rangeley, ME on March 9, 1914, the eldest child of Florence and Ray Harnden. She was a member of the Rangeley High School class of 1931, making her the oldest member of the Rangeley Alumni Association. She attended Westbrook Seminary, Wheaton College, and graduated with honors from Lesley College. While at Lesley she met a Harvard student, Charles" Chuck" Richardson, whom she married upon graduation.
> She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, her parents, her sister Barbara Riddle, and her brother Fred Harden.
> She is lovingly remembered by her son Steve (Elna) of Bedford, NH; her daughter Sandra Gordon of St Louis, MO; five granddaughters; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
> Dot was an avid reader and enjoyed being surrounded by friends, including her beloved Bridge group. She was quick to laugh and didn't hesitate to take part in any adventure. In her final days one of her fondest memories was of a rafting trip down the Snake River in Wyoming.
> Dot was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford, NH.
> Memorial donations may be made to the Bedford Public Library or the Bedford Presbyterian Church.
> Phaneuf Funeral Home is in charge of cremation; there will be no formal service.
