Dorothy Riggas

Dorothy Riggas, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on March 22, 1959, in Vatsounia, Greece to Thomas and Panagiota Riggas. She lived a vibrant life until she passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, after bravely battling an illness for four years. Her final moments were surrounded by the love of her family. 

Dorothy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, she took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories that they will cherish forever. She would often spend her sunny days soaking up the warmth by the ocean, relishing nature’s beauty. Shopping trips were another favorite pastime for her—each excursion was an opportunity to pamper herself and indulge in her true love: coffee. These moments highlighted her vibrant personality and appreciation for life’s little treasures. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Stephanie Kotromanos and Saki Kotromanos, of Manchester, NH, her grandchildren, Madison Kotromanos, Sonny Dejeus, Giovanni Dejeus, and Agoritsa Dejeus, who were a constant source of joy in her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Beloved brothers, Steven Riggas and Lucas Riggas, of Manchester, NH, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will remember her for her gentle spirit and unwavering love.

Dorothy’s legacy will continue to shine through the lives she touched, and her gentle spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. There will be no calling hours, a private service for immediate family followed by a celebration of life at a later date.
