Dorothy A. Thomen, 90, of Nashua, passed away on April 1, 2022 surrounded by her family.
She grew up in Cambridge, MA, attending St. Peter’s schools. Upon marrying Charles Thomen in 1957, they travelled the country with the US Army, eventually settling back in New England. They were married for over 50 years at the time of his passing in 2009. She worked for many years at Kenmore Stamp Company in Milford. Just prior to living in Nashua, Dorothy spent 20 years living in Portsmouth, NH.
Dorothy enjoyed shopping, specifically at thrift stores and rummage sales. Finding a good bargain made her heart sing. She enjoyed a chilled glass of Chardonnay daily at 2pm. She loved her family fiercely and was loved fiercely by them as well.
Survived by her children; Charlotte and Greg Hubbard, and Kristin and Bruce Fitzpatrick, grandchildren; Courtney Greiner, Caitlin Hubbard, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Jake Fitzpatrick, and great-grandchildren; Macie Greiner, and Cooper Greiner.
Predeceased by her parents, William and Estelle Murphy, and her siblings, including her beloved brother, Paul.
A Celebration of her Life will be held Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 pm at 55 Shelley Drive, Nashua. Chardonnay and Chicken Salad will be the fare, in her honor.
