Dorothy D. Wharton

Dorothy D. Wharton, 100, died peacefully on March 23, 2023 in Bedford, NH. Born in Manchester, NH, she attended Manchester High School Central (with perfect attendance) and began working in the U.S. civil service in 1944. She moved to Hockessin, DE in 1952 and was employed for 33 years at General Motors in Wilmington.

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Albina (Dubois) Dionne, husband Thomas Wharton and husband Ray Johns, brother Bertrand Dionne, and sister Muriel Ellyson. She is survived by stepdaughter Ellan Wharton of Stevensville, MD, sister Madeleine Kalil of Bedford, NH, and family members including nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and great grandnephews.

Interment will be private in Manchester, NH.
