Douglas Stephen Brannen, 62, passed away suddenly on Sunday May 31 st at Mass. General Hospital with his wife by his side. He was born on April 3 rd , 1958 to Gregory and Madeline Brannen in Biddeford, ME. The family moved to Nashua, NH when he was 10 and he married Annette (Gagnon) Brannen on August 11 th 1979 and were married for 41 years.
He graduated from Nashua High School and earned his Associates Degree in Applied Science in Automotive Technology at Nashua Vocational Technical College. He then went back to school to become a machinist. Douglas worked as a machinist for Magellan Aerospace for 38 years.
Douglas was a caring husband, father and grandfather. Douglas and Annette enjoyed visiting the beach and vacationing near the ocean or in the mountains. Douglas was an eagle scout and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to attend car shows and state fairs, rebuilding his 1958 Chevy pickup, camping with his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and doing jigsaw puzzles. He could fix anything and always had the right tool for the job. He was always there to help anytime we needed him. He will be greatly missed.
Douglas is predeceased by his father Gregory Brannen. He is survived by his wife, Annette (Gagnon) Brannen and four children: son Peter and wife Beckie, their children Sadie and Zachary; son Jeremy and wife Eliza, their children Oliver and Evelyn; son Michael, and daughter Kristen. He is also survived by his mother Madeline Brannen and three siblings: Jacqueline Brannen, Deborah and husband David Chamberlain, and Scott Brannen and wife Tricia as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately by the family at Edgewood Cemetery.
