Dwayne Coffin, 59, of Uxbridge, MA died on June 16, 2023, surrounded by his family, after succumbing to lung cancer.
Born in Concord, NH on April 10, 1964, the son of Nathan and Edna (Fortin) Coffin. He was predeceased by his father, Nathan Coffin, and his youngest son, Kraig Coffin. He leaves behind his mother, Edna (Fortin) Coffin of Uxbridge, MA; oldest son, Cameron McNay of Manchester, NH; Cameron’s mother, Pamela Clark of Rochester, NH; Kraig’s mother Donna Coffin of West Greenwich, RI; Donna’s daughters Danielle and her husband, Rick Crossley of Georgetown, KY, and Kaileigh and her husband, Andy Morris of Providence, RI; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and Danielle’s children.
Dwayne graduated from COE Brown Northwood Academy in 1982. He worked at Johnson’s Restaurant in Northwood, NH during high school so he could buy his favorite yellow Ford truck (license plate ILMT). He took karate lessons in Dover, NH and achieved his first-degree black belt.
Technical Sargent Dwayne Coffin served in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1995. Served as a Crew Chief at Hickam AFB, HI; Computer Operations Specialist at Hanscom AFB, MA and Edwards AFB, CA, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sargent. He also served in the Rhode Island Air National Guard from 2018 until the time of his death as a Fuels Craftsman at Quonset Air National Guard in North Kingston, RI, where he achieved the rank of Technical Sargent. In between he worked as a Senior Systems Administrator for Fidelity Investments for 26 Years.
Dwayne was a loving son, father, and grandfather. His passions were automotive racing, hunting, and fishing. He was heavily involved with Quarter Midgets of America, U.S. Legends, Allison Legacy, Pass Out Law, and Super Late Model as his children were growing up.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, in Boscawen, NH on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00am. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
