E. Milton Dow Mr. Ellis Milton Dow, 74, of Ossipee, died June 19, 2009 after suffering a heart attack. He was born in Wolfeboro on June 6, 1935 the son of Ellis and Agnes (Phinney) Dow. Milton was a lifelong resident of Ossipee and the owner of Dow Sand and Gravel. Milton had three loves in life; family, work and work. When you could not find him working, you could find him spending time with family, watching his two son's race and then his grandsons. He was a generous man and helped many in several different ways during his lifetime. He is survived by his friend and companion of the past ten years, Lucille Hooper of Old Orchard Beach, ME; daughter and son in-law, Karen Dow-Butler and John Butler of Lebanon, ME; son and fiancée, Curt Dow and Alice Call of Ossipee, NH; grandson, Chad Dow of Ossipee, NH; great granddaughter, Savannah Keyes-Dow of Tamworth, NH; grandson, Clay Dow of Moultonborough, NH; daughter in-law, Carol Dow of Ossipee, NH; granddaughter, Marena Dow of Ossipee, NH; grandson, Mathew Dow of Ossipee, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Janet Dow who died in 1997 and his son, Ellis Dow who died in 2003. Graveside services will be held on June 27th at the Chickville Cemetery in Ossipee at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Dare to Dream Camp.
