Earl R. Plant

August 23, 1949 — January 7, 2024

Nottingham

Earl Plant, 74, of Nottingham, NH passed away on January 7, 2024.

He was born in Orange, VT in 1949 to the late Raymond and Evelyn Plant. As a child he was an avid skier and snowmobiler. Earl was a letterman athlete and graduated high school in 1969.

Retired from BAE Systems, Earl, best defined as a workhorse, refused to slow down, and sought employment at the Nottingham Elementary School.

A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed working in the yard, mowing neighbors’ lawns, and caring for his home and gardens with his beloved wife, Lorraine. Earl rocked out to old school country music, but his passion was woodworking. Anyone who approached him with an idea, he happily brought it to fruition.

Earl is preceded in death by his brother Eugene Plant. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Lorraine Plant; stepchildren, Deborah Plourde and her husband Jeff, Ron Colman and his wife Annie, April Skinner and her partner David; grandchildren, Ariah, Ashley, James, Talon, Samantha, and Martha; and several siblings, Paul, Donald, Anna, Shirley, Joyce, and David and their spouses.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1pm EST on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Indian School would be greatly appreciated. www.stjo.org
