Earl Frank Joseph "Joe" St. Aubin

Listen to Obituary

Early the morning of 8/30/25, Jesus welcomed Joe St. Aubin to his eternal home. While our hearts ache at his passing, we rejoice in knowing he has been made whole again in the presence of his Lord and reunited with loved ones who have gone before.

In his career, Joe became a Master Electrician. He worked on many projects as a travelling electrician for many years, and through that made his home in Northglenn Colorado. Ultimately, his career culminated as the Electrical Supervisor for the City & County Denver Parks and Recreation Department. His commitment to the communities he lived in led to political activities as well including work with the Robert F. Kennedy campaign, Precinct Delegate, City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem of Northglenn, CO, as well as a 3-month term as State Representative of Colorado.

Of his many accomplishments, Joe’s greatest honor would be to be known as a family man. Affectionately known as the original “bad Dad joke” king, Joe will be remembered for his humor, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a loving husband to Diane St. Aubin for over 63 years, a dedicated father to Jason St. Aubin & his wife Cherry and Jodi Naughton & her husband Garry, and a supportive grandfather to Trevor & Regan Naughton.

Joe lived a life of adventure, laughter and love, teaching lessons both in words and through example in his daily life. He taught to treat the janitor the same as the president, to find humor, to build things, even when it took 4 trips to Home Depot! To build up people, too, and allow room for tears and hugs without shame. A great love of the outdoors – camping, hunting, fishing, and just enjoying a beautiful sunrise.

Having faced a long battle against 2 cancers for over 5 years, Diane sums it up best: Although I ache to be with you just one more time, we celebrate that your suffering is over. You gave me STRENGTH when I was weak, HOPE to endure whatever faced with, LOVE to cherish. You gave me two children to carry on all of the above – 63 & ¾ years of happiness, travels, experiences, memories, love, decisions, treasures, financial security… you did it all and more!

His family misses him dearly already, even as they know he is blessed to be with his Savior. Joe was an incredible provider, mentor, comforter, leader, listener, and friend. We can only imagine his utter joy at smiling, talking freely again, and yes – telling jokes to God himself. And we know the very first words he heard were: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Save us a seat, save us some cookies and until we meet again – we’ll think of you every sunrise, Joe!

Joe was predeceased by his parents Leo & Dorothy St. Aubin, and his brother Dan St. Aubin. He is survived by his brothers Mike, Bill and Tom St. Aubin and his sister Marilyn Labadie.
