Edith M. Nobile (Weiser) – Age 81, of Greenland, N.H. and Hollywood Beach, FL, formerly of Durham, NH and Ann Arbor, MI. Died after a lengthy illness February 2nd, 2005. Beloved wife of Vincent P. Nobile, Mother of Christopher Nobile of North Andover, MA, Laurence Pike-Nobile of Davis, CA and Vanessa Freytag of Cincinnati, OH. Survived by siblings William Weiser of Hull, MA and Elizabeth Donneley of Pearl River, NY. Her 7 grandchildren will miss their “Nana”. A graduate of Emmanuel College, Edith was a metallurgical research chemist associated with the Manhattan Project at MIT, University of Chicago, Reaction Motors and Curtiss Wright. She was Chairman of the School Board at St. Francis in Ann Arbor, MI. Authored a seminal microwave cookbook published in 1981. Also was a Docent at Jackson Marine Laboratory in NH. Interment at St. Michaels Cemetery, Roslindale at 9:00am, Tuesday February 8. Memorial Mass follows at St. Leonards in the North End of Boston at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to your local Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
