Edward M. Applebee born in Burlington, VT. Ed passed suddenly in the early morning hours of January 3rd due to cardiac arrest. He was a longtime resident of Salem, NH and a hardworking tradesman in the construction field, known for his dedication and craftsmanship.
Ed was a die-hard sports fan. Mainly playing hockey growing up because it was the only sport you could get away with throwing a punch for fun. He enjoyed going to games and followed all New England sports teams religiously. Music was another passion of his, attending many legendary rock and roll musicians’ concerts and shows. Always having the best memories and stories to share about each one. He was also a legend for his jokes and could always crack a joke in any situation. He was one hell of a guy, having been nicknamed for his fun-loving characteristics; “Special Ed,” “Apple,” “Fred Pickle Juice,” and “Fast Eddie.”
Ed was a kindhearted, outgoing, unbelievably generous, and honorable man. Always going the extra mile to help anyone in need, and always looking on the bright side of things. It’s no surprise he was such a widely admired and respected man by his many friends, family, other tradesmen, and clients alike he did business with over the years. His mother lovingly referred to him as “a diamond in the rough.” He was most definitely unforgettable, he will be loved and missed by all. Special Ed will forever have a place and memory in all the hearts whose lives he’s touched.
Ed is survived by his mother Nancy (Watson) Murray; His three brothers, Michael Morgan, David Applebee, and James Applebee; His two daughters, Ashley Reitano, and Brittney Reitano-Conte; His grandchild, Piero Conte; His three nephews, Jason Morgan, and his wife Vanessa Morgan, Joshua Applebee, and his wife Alicia Applebee, and Nicholas Applebee; His three nieces, Melissa Toro, Rebecca Applebee, and Elizabeth Applebee, as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
