Edward Joseph Gascoigne, 93, of Wolfeboro, NH, died at Huggins Hospical, on March 7, 2005. He was born in Stamford, Connecticut, on October 15, 1911, the son of the late Albert and Emma (Swinnerton) Gascoigne and has been a resident of this area since 1985. He was a WW II Army Veteran. During his lifetime he was an avid golfer and at one time he was the State Senior Champion of Massachusetts. He was the widow of Frances (Purdy) Gascoigne. Family members include his son, James Gascoigne of Massachusetts, his son-in-law, W. Bruce Monroe of Florida, his brother Richard and niece Ruth of Connecticut, a grandson Scott Monroe of Georgia, He was predeceased by his daughter Sarah Monroe. There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
