Edward F. Glidden

Edward Folsom Glidden, 77, 50 year resident of Merrimack, passed away at home on November 3, 2017. Born in Dover, NH on May 6, 1940, he was son of the late William and Beatrice (Bolton) Glidden. He enjoyed 58 years of marriage with his wife, Judith (Farrar) Glidden.

Edward worked for Sanders/Lockhead/BAE as a designer/checker for 42 years. He also taught Geometric Design and Tolerances. He was involved with the Inspire Pulmonary Support group, of which he was a past president and editor of the monthly newsletter for over 9 years.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Glidden of Merrimack, NH; son William Charles Glidden of Manchester, NH; daughter Fawne and her husband Kevin Gaudette of Goffstown, NH; grandson Christopher Gaudette of Jamaica Plain, MA and granddaughter Megan Gaudette and her partner Henry Rodriguez of Brooklyn, NY; his sister Winifred and her husband Pasco Delponte of Dover, NH; his sister Virginia and husband Richard Scarponi of Barrington, NH; sister-in-law Muriel and husband Don Foster of Gonic, NH; sister-in-law Patricia Chamer of Atkinson, NH, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Louise Barnhardt and his sister-in-law Fawn Clark.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 11th at 12pm, at the John O'Leary Adult Community Center, 4 Church St, Merrimack, NH 03054. Family and friends are invited to come and share memories in celebration of his life.
