Edward R. Hannon Jr. of Hookestt, NH passed away on August 31, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with cancer, surrounded by his cherished family. He was born on February 4, 1964 in Lawrence, MA to the late Edward Hannon Sr. and Georgia (Lacourse) Fratus.
Born in Lawrence MA, Edward grew up in Lowell, MA and would go on to graduate from the VOLK trade school in Tyngsboro, equipping him with the skills needed to excel in a sheet metal career. For over 20 years, Edward worked as a CNC operator at Spartan Technology, where his dedication and skill were greatly valued. He was handyman who could fix anything, especially cars that he seemed to always be tinkering with or his countless wood-working projects.
Outside of work, Edward was known for his easy-going nature and his humorous spirit, often bringing laughter to those around him. He shared a penchant for playful pranks with his son, Eddie, demonstrating his fun-loving and light-hearted character. He was an avid sports fan, supporting teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins. His love for these teams brought him countless hours of entertainment, especially when shared with family and friends.
Edward was also a devoted family man, taking immense pride in his role as “Grampy” to his four grandchildren. Edward found joy in various activities, including fishing, grilling—he loved barbecuing for his family—and spending time outdoors especially visiting the beach. Above all else, Edward loved his family immensely and will be deeply missed.
Edward is predeceased by his step-father, Frank Fratus. He is survived by his daughter, Katie-Lee Puleo, and her husband, Matthew; his son, Edward Hannon III, and his wife, Alicia; his son, Mathew Hannon; his best friend, Gloria Castellano; his sister, Kathleen Hannon; his brother, Michael Hannon; his sister, Tammy Fratus; as well as his four grandchildren.
Services for Edward will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Edwards memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
