Edward S Hussey

Edward S. (Ted) Hussey 68, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a long illness. Ted was born in Rochester, NH, August 24, 1947. He was the son of Ralph Hussey, Sr. and Hattie (Thibedeau) Hussey. Ted is survived by his longtime companion Roberta Entwistle of Farmington, his Mother
Hattie Hussey of Farmington, 3 sisters: Virginia Scheibe of Farmington, Evelyn Scheibe of Arizona, and Marilyn Daly of Farmington. 4 brothers: Dana Hussey of Rochester, William Hussey, Sr. of Farmington, Norman Hussey of Rochester, and Clarence Hussey Jr of Rochester. Also survived by 7 children: Michele Hussey of Ohio, Michael Hussey of Rochester, Keith Hussey, of Rochester, Timothy Hussey of Rochester, Nathan Goodwin of Rochester, Aaron Hussey of N. Carolina, and Germaine Elliott of Providence RI, 10 grand-children and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ted is pre-deceased by his Father Ralph Hussey, Sr., six brothers and two sisters.
Ted served in the US Army 82nd Airborne for two years serving in the Dominican Republic in 1965 during the Cuban Crisis.
Ted was a Life Member of George J. Maxfield VFW Post 1772 in Rochester, NH and a member of American Legion Post 7 in Rochester, NH
Ted worked at Davidson Rubber for several years and when they closed he had a flooring business until he retired. Working for several Landlords and sub-contracting for several Building Supply stores in the area.
Ted was an extraordinary and dedicated pool player, a member of multiple pool teams over the years. After winning the State Championships his teams went to Las Vegas for the National Tournament 9 times.
Ted was very family oriented always wanting a family party, he would invite all the people he could think of the more the merrier.
If anyone wanted or needed help with anything Ted would be there even if it wasn't in his own best interest and often he would show up without being asked.
People that knew him would always have a Teddy quote for instance, "Don't even try to be as good looking as me."
Interment will be at 3:00 PM at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH followed by a Pot-Luck Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post7 on Eastern Avenue in Rochester, NH at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers please send donations in Ted's name to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of New Hampshire.
