Edward Irving Jones III, also known as Ed, Eddie, or Borehead, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. He was born on March 26, 1954, in Melrose, Massachusetts.

Edward was predeceased by his mother Janet Lois (King) Reagan of Somersworth, New Hampshire; his father, Edward Irving Jones JR of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; a sister, Christine Jones of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and a stepdaughter, Amanda Downs Kimball of Waterville, Maine.

He is survived by his life partner, Carol Hogan-Bredmore of Rochester, New Hampshire; his daughter, Jennifer Jones of Belmont, New Hampshire; his son, Edward Irving Jones IV of Hollywood Beach, Florida; his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Joy, and great-grandson, Emmett Joy, both of New Durham, New Hampshire. He is also survived by his sisters, Stephanie Timmerman of Newmarket, New Hampshire, Dale McAuliffe and Lynne Gagne, both of Somersworth, New Hampshire; his brother, Joseph Reagan of Somersworth, New Hampshire; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Eddie was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Throughout his life, he wore many hats and was never afraid of hard work. His occupations ranged from working on a lobster boat, to becoming an inventor, earning a patent, and selling his invention on QVC.

He later started his own construction business, where the nickname “Borehead” was born. He owned and operated a bore machine, using it to run a pipe from the Rochester landfill to the University of New Hampshire in Durham—a project he took great pride in.

Eventually, Eddie found his true passion in the commercial fishing industry. He created FisheryNation.com, a website dedicated to giving people a firsthand look at what was truly happening in the industry. He poured his heart and soul into the site, creating a space where people could speak openly, share information, and feel heard.

In his quieter moments, Eddie enjoyed watching Fox News and spending quality time with his life partner, Carol, moments that brought him comfort and joy.

Eddie will be remembered for his determination, creativity, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched.
