Edward Lajoie, 85, died on November 2, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
One of twelve children, he was the son of the late Elphege & Yvonne Lajoie of Haverhill, MA. He attended St. Joseph grammar school and Haverhill Trade School.
Edward joined the Navy and served four years, stationed aboard the USS Yellowstone. After serving in the Navy, he went to work as a salesman in the auto dealer industry, working his way up to general manager.
Edward enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved working around his yard, rooting for the Red Sox and the Patriots and working on word search puzzles.
Edward is survived by his wife, Gloria (Smith) Lajoie, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage; four children, Kevin and his wife Penny of Candia, NH, Gail Fraser and her husband Steve of Salem, NH, Lisa Lajoie of Blandford, MA, and James and his wife Gigit of Twin Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren, Kassie Plasse, Chris McCarthy, Ashley Fraser, Jack Lajoie, Kassidy & Justin Lajoie, Meaghan & Zachary O'Neill; step-grandchild, Joey Aberle; three sisters, Theresa Battis, Peggy Mikselle, and Helen Powell. He was blessed with three great grandchildren, Kason & Memphis Plasse and Carter McCarthy. Edward was predeceased by his three sisters, Jeannette Groves, Anita Fecteau, and Lorraine Rossetti; and four brothers, Barney, Bob Paul and Donald Lajoie.
