Edward "Rex" Lemay, 51, of Bethlehem died February 18, 2003 at Littleton Regional Hospital following a lengthy battle with cancer. Rex was born on September 12, 1951 in Manchester, the son of Roger Lemay and Lucille (Drolette) Mourar. Prior to his illness, Rex worked as a night security guard for several local hotels and most recently for Maplewood Country Club Hotel. He had also spent a few years working as a machinist at Burndy's Corp. He was known by many as the "Chili King" and in his own garden grew the ingredients needed for his special chili recipe. He also had a strong love for Harley Motorcycles and enjoyed camping and going to the ocean. Family members include; his wife of 20 years, Brenda (Tetreault) Lemay; one son, Christopher Lemay of Whitefield; one daughter, Layna Lemay of Bethlehem; his father Roger Lemay and his wife Arlene of Gardner, MA; his mother, Lucille Mourar and her husband, Ike of Fallon, NV; three grandsons and one granddaughter; four brothers, Denis Lemay of Manchester, Frank Lemay and his wife Joyce of Bridgewater, MA, Tom Lemay and his wife, Maureen of Weare and Billy Mourar and his wife Patty of Reno, NV; three sister, Rose Lemay Huebner of Lowell, MA Janice Lemay of Gardner, MA and Joyce White of Athol, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Clairece Drolette. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 1st at 4:00 PM at The Community Church of Christ of Franconia on Church Street with Rev. Gary Hart officiating.
