Edward M. Marr, 74, of Raymond died October 30, 2008 at home in Raymond. He was born in Portland, Maine on July 26, 1934 the son of the late Leudon and Amy (Hamilton) Marr. He was raised and educated in Gray and Portland, Maine. Edward served in the US Navy as a boiler operator for 26 years before he retired in 1975. He then moved to Raymond where he would work for Philips Exeter for 20 years. He enjoyed going for rides. One of his greatest joys was his basset hound, Beauregard. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Loretta (Couturier) of Raymond; his two sons, Edward Marr of Vassalboro, ME and Mike Marr of Boothbay Harbor, ME; Loretta's children, Bernard L. Roberts Jr. of Hope, ME, Howard Bassett of Cape Coral, FL, Betty Jean Rowland of Savannah, GA and Debra Johnston of Virginia; sister, Nancy Caswell of West Gardiner, Maine and many nieces and nephews.
