Edward W. Ross II, lovingly known as "Pop," passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the age of 71.
Born on March 29, 1953 in Rutland , VT to Alfreda (Rougier) and Edward Ross Sr. He graduated from Rutland High School in 1971. He then moved to Manchester, NH shortly after. He spent many years working at Pappy’s Pizza earning the reputation for serving the hands down best breakfast in town and being able to handle that early morning rush like no one else could. He also spent a long period of time working at the Manchester Country Club, known as “Fast Eddie” before ending his career at Southern NH University.
Although he lived in the city his entire life his heart belonged at the beach. His vast collection of ocean rocks and seashells that he loved collecting with his grandkids filled every corner of his home. You could swear you could hear the waves crashing if it weren’t for the sound of music from The Beatles to which he knew the words to every song and could drum along as if he were part of the band. Known to always have a clean shaved head, his baby blue eyes and wrinkleless face all came together behind his famous “stash” neatly trimmed giving him his signature look that he would always be recognized for.
He is predeceased by both of his parents and his brother Steven Ross. He is survived by his partner Dawn Bramson, who cared for him with endless love till his final days. His sons Edward Ross III and wife Thea of Hooksett, and Donald Ross and wife Shawna of Manchester, his brother David and wife Dawn of Burlington, VT, sisters Lynn (Masterson) and partner Michael Williams of Leydon, MA, Patty and husband EJ Kuiper of Fort Myers, FL and Debbie (Chessare) of Bluffton, SC. His grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Cameron (& Lexie), Aiden, Jaxon, Christian, Weston and Melina.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral home on 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Monday, January 27th from 5 - 7 pm
