Edwin Nicholson passed away on November 14, 2025. He was born to proud parents Florence and Thomas Nicholson on May 21, 1944. Ed was the third of five children—Thomas, Maureen, Edwin, Richard, and Cheryl. Ed graduated from Lynnfield High School in 1963, surprisingly he was voted “Most Shyest Male,” a title he soon outgrew.

Licensed in respiratory therapy in 1967, he worked at Yale New Haven Hospital and later at Franklin Regional Hospital as both a respiratory therapist and activities coordinator. Edwin found joy in personal and spiritual growth where he created many friendships that helped him on his journey. He spent much time at Kripalu in the Berkshires and traveled far and wide from Ireland, Egypt, and New Orleans to name a few. Ed was known for his adventurous spirit, he even walked on hot coals. He loved reminiscing with his siblings about growing up.
His family expresses deep gratitude to the staff of the Birches of Concord and Merrimack County Nursing Home for the wonderful care and friendship given to Ed.
Edwin will be laid to rest at Puritan Lawn in Peabody, Massachusetts being reunited with his parents and brother Richard in the spring.
