Egidio N. DiGregorio
Salem- Egidio "Gigi" DiGregorio, 74, of Salem, beloved husband of Kathleen (Flynn) DiGregorio, died Wednesday, May 08, 2013, surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his own home.
Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Egidio and Sue (Palumbo) DiGregorio
In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, Gigi is survived by his daughter, Karen DiGregorio; grandson, Jakob Folley; sister, Theresa Lesanto of Waltham; sister-in-law Debra Kezer of Derry; brother-in-law, Edward Aunchman of New Jersey; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Gigi was predeceased by his grandson, Nathan Folley.
Affectionately known as "Gigi", he was deeply devoted to his family. A true "family man", he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially at his home on the lake. He took pleasure in fishing and boating, playing Bocce Ball, but above all else, his true passion was golfing. Gigi will be best remembered for his warm heart, giving spirit and his great sense of humor which will be remembered by all who knew him. The founder and chairman of Salem's original Caleb Committee, Gigi also volunteered his time at the Derry Salem Lodge of Elks, where he was a member for over 50 years. He was also a member of APPA (Arlington Pond Protective Association) since its inception. He also owned and operated several businesses in the community. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Gigi will be dearly missed.
Arrangements: A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cremation Society of New Hamsphire located in Phanuef's Funeral Home 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Saturday, May 11, from 10:00A.M. to 12:00P.M.
