Elaine Patricia Adams, 59, of Concord, NH, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2025. She was born in Massachusetts on June 15, 1966, to Leo Thompson and Mary (Mayer) Jordan.
Elaine loved her two daughters dearly; and her greatest wish for them was to follow the path that made them the happiest. She was always checking in on them—nothing mattered more to her than their well-being.
Elaine had a deep love for walking and was often seen strolling through the streets of Concord. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and most of all, coffee. One of her favorite daily rituals was getting her morning coffee from The Bean and Bakery on Pleasant Street.
She truly loved the work she did. Elaine worked in Food Service at The Birches of Concord, an assisted living facility specializing in memory care. From 2018 to 2025, she served the residents and staff with kindness and compassion and was deeply appreciated by The Birches community.
Faith was an important part of Elaine’s life. She was a devoted Christian and an active member of Destiny Christian Church in Concord from 2015 to 2025. She made many lasting friendships within her church family and found strength and purpose through her faith.
Elaine is survived by her two daughters, Leslie Jean Pfeffer (Adams) and her husband Riley Pfeffer of Concord, NH, and Nicole Ann Adams and her partner Ashley Hegyesi. She is also survived by her sister, Leslie Hathaway; and brother-in-law Dave Hathaway; brother-in-law Daniel Sullivan; and her nephew, Dana Matson.
She is predeceased by her sister, Ann Sullivan, and her former husband, Timothy Adams.
Elaine’s family welcomes all who knew her to attend a memorial service on September 6, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Destiny Christian Church, 21 Dunklee Street, Concord, NH 03301. A gathering with refreshments and food will follow the service.
Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Boscawen. To view Elaine's Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com.
