Elaine M. Kozma, daughter of Stanley and Muriel McConkey died on April 30, 2026. Elaine was born and raised in New Jersey and lived most of her life in Springfield and then Union until 2018.

Elaine spent the last seven years residing in New London, New Hampshire in order to be closer to her daughter Eula Lee Kozma, her son-in-law Josh Sattely, and her grandchildren Alieze (14) and Miles (12). Family was everything to Elaine and these last years afforded her grandchildren to see their “Mimi” several times a week. While living in New London she additionally found purpose and community in her job at Spring Ledge Farm. Elaine greatly enjoyed her time at the Farm. She will be remembered by coworkers and customers alike for her banter and her innate ability to upsell cider donuts to nearly any patron.

Elaine was a devoted partner to her husband of 49 years Edward C. Kozma. Edward and Elaine were quite the pair. They met on St. Patrick’s Day and Elaine being Irish, decided to use that as their anniversary thereforward. They married eight years later and welcomed Eula the following year. Elaine and Edward knew they only wanted one child and they dedicated themselves to raising their daughter. Elaine loved cooking and caring for her family.

Elaine and Edward were both huge college and professional sports enthusiasts. Elaine could talk circles around most sports fans with up to the minute stats and of course, her personal take. She could often be found on the sidelines or in the audience of her grandchildren’s various sports and performances. Her loud cheering and commentary was hard to miss!

Though she lived in New Hampshire for a short time she left her mark on the New London community. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life for Elaine will be held on Saturday, June 6th from 9-11am at the Wilmot Community Center located at 64 Village Rd, Wilmot, NH 03287.

In lieu of flowers, Elaine’s family asks that you consider making a gift to The New London Outing Club or the KLS Community Food Pantry in her honor.
