Elaine Constance (Brodeur) Langelier, 84, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief but courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Early Life
Born on March 11, 1941, and raised in Hudson, NH, Elaine was the beloved daughter of Cecilia (Jette) and Paul Brodeur. From the very beginning, her life was filled with love, laughter, and faith. Elaine graduated from St Louis High School in Nashua NH, class of 1959. In Hudson, she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Langelier, in 1960, and they married on August 25, 1962, beginning a partnership that would span more than six decades. Together with Bob, she raised their family in Nashua, NH, creating a lifetime of cherished memories rooted in devotion, joy, and togetherness.
Career and Interests
Elaine enjoyed a 34 year career at Sanders Associates, which later became Lockheed, and finally BAE Systems, where she retired. Her warmth, dedication, and gentle spirit touched the lives of countless colleagues and friends. Yet it was at home, surrounded by family, where she was happiest. She found joy in cooking delicious meals, playing Scrabble, and spending many years enjoying candlepin bowling. She cherished celebrating special occasions and simply spending time with those she loved most. Most recently, she enjoyed spending time and volunteering for many years at the Slusser Senior Center in Contoocook, NH.
Family
Elaine is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Langelier, and their three children: Kym Bellerose and her husband Michael, Jeff Langelier and his wife Jill, and Amy Martin and her husband Jim. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Kinsey Bellerose, Meredith and Aidan Langelier, and Paige and Patrick Martin.
Services
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH, on November 29th at 10am. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Elaine’s life and legacy.
