Eleanor Walsh Larson

On Friday, September 13, 2019, Eleanor Walsh Larson passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's at the age of 76. Ellie was born in New Haven, CT on Groundhog's Day in 1943 to Joseph and Mary Louise Walsh. She received her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wheaton College in 1964, went to work for the National Security Agency, where she met and then married Glenn Arthur Larson, Sr. during a blizzard on January 16, 1965. Together, they raised two children, Glenn Jr. and Erica, in Amherst, NH.
Ellie was a lover of wine, traveling, good books, and great friends. She and Glenn Sr. lived in many places around the US. Wherever she went, she made lifelong friends who will dearly miss her intellect, humor, and kindness.
Ellie's passing was preceded by her parents, as well as Glenn Sr. in 2016. She is survived by her children, Glenn Jr. and Erica, daughter-in-law Melanie, six grandchildren, Sara, Kyle, Truman, Caroline, Judson and Benjamin, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
