Elise Marie Mendenhall

Elise Marie Green Mendenhall, 89, passed away 15 September 2024, at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood NH. She was born July 31,1935 in Prairie City Iowa, to Frank and Louise (Pulver) Green. 

She graduated from Prairie City High School in 1953. She worked at the Equitable Insurance Company in Des Moines, Iowa until her marriage on December 31, 1955 to Otho Mendenhall. Elise enjoyed being a stay at home mother until 1984. During the years of raising her family she lived in San Diego California, Alexandria and West Springfield Virginia, Nashua NH and finally settled in Merrimack NH. Elise enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Elise always cheered for her Washington Redskins and enjoyed cooking for her family. 

Elise returned to the workforce in 1984, working as an accountant for Kollsmens Inc. in Merrimack NH until her retirement. 

Elise was predeceased by her parents, her sister Marjorie her brothers Melvin, John, and Wendell. She was predeceased by grandchildren Cameron and Alexandra Mendenhall. 

Elise is survived by her children Victoria (Alan) Hynson, Scott (Kendra) Mendenhall, Jon (Karen) Mendenhall and Mark (Leslie) Mendenhall. Her stepson Charles (Reese) Mendenhall. Her grandchildren, Bruce (Rebecca) Mendenhall, Page (Curtis) Wickens, Andrew ( Tammy) Hynson, Jay (Heather) Hynson, Jackie (Caleb) McKelvy, Ryan, Megan, Carter and Grace Mendenhall. Erin Mendenhall, Jodi (Michael) Martin Great Grandchildren, Hailey and Logan Redmond, Hunter, Owen and Wyatt Mendenhall, Emma Wickens, Preston and Olivia Hynson, Emmylou, Samson and Molly Mckelvy, Megan and Haley Martin, Here sister -in-law Lavera Green. She is survived by many nieces and nephews as well. 

There will be a private graveside service for the family.
