Elizabeth Blackstock Dickey, 92, passed away at Concord Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 7, 2017.
She was born November 9, 1924 in Dover, NH, daughter of Joseph Blackstock and Bertha (Shepard) Blackstock. After graduating from Dover High School in 1942, she attended McIntosh College and worked as a paralegal before meeting the love of her life, David V. Dickey, at a USO dance in Portsmouth, NH. They were married in May of 1946 and spent 69 loving years together before his passing in 2015. While raising four children, she was active in The Rebekahs, PTA, Girl Scouts of America, and her church community. She loved to bowl and square dance with her husband. The family vacationed annually in York Beach, ME.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, David V. Dickey, her son Brian Robb Dickey, and her brother Robert Blackstock.
She is survived by her beloved family: her son Dana and wife Linda of Keene, their children Kari and her daughter Adrianna, daughter Kim and her husband Juan and their children, Amanda, Melanie and Megan. Her son Jonathan and his wife Kathryn of Bow, and their children Laura and her son Emmitt and Sarah and her husband Jon and their son Camden. Her daughter Beth Graf and husband Ken of Dover and their children Karen and Brian and his wife Brigid and their daughter Alana.
Betty took great pleasure in her roles as Wife, Mom, Grammy and Grammy Great. Her devotion to family and unconditional love will be missed by all.
SERVICES: A memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 5, at the Immanuel Community Church at 7 Grover St in Concord, N.H. Immediately following services, there will be a service at Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover, N.H.
