Elizabeth O. Fernandez-Giminez, 66, of 184 Seamans Road, New London, NH died on May 5, 2000 at New London Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Fernandez-Giminez was born on July 15, 1933 in Bethesda, MD the daughter of the late Leonide P. and Katherine (Carlisle) Ourusoff. She was a graduate of Radcliff University in Boston and majored in Art History. She worked as an assistant cataloguer for the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York. She then relocated to Ohio in the 1960s and worked as the assistant curator for the Cleveland Museum of Art. She moved to Milwaukee, WI and was the coordinator of the Guadalupe Center for children and was later employed by the Milwaukee Art Museum where she was an art historian for 13 years. Upon retiring in 1996 she moved to New London, NH. Family members include; her husband of 37 years, Pedro Fernandez-Giminez; one son, Santiago Fernandez-Giminez of Mankado, MN; one daughter, Mrs. Maria Fernandez-Odell of Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren; four brothers, Serge Ourusoff of Long Island, NY, Peter Ourusoff of California, Nicolas Ourusoff of Augusta, ME and Ivan Ourusoff of Danbury, NH; one sister Mrs. John (Olga) Skow of New London, NH; one aunt and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2000 at New London Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
