Elizabeth Fowles

Elizabeth "Betty" Fowles, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, died at Concord Hospital on March 3, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born in Bath, Maine on August 21, 1932, daughter of the late Thomas L. and Alice (Barstow) Grindell. She was the devoted wife of Graydon J. Fowles for 60 years.
Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In recent years she faced great difficulties yet courageously continued to fill her life with humor, selfless love of family and friends, faith to God and great generosity. She was a successful Avon representative for 25 years. Betty is survived be her husband, Graydon, son, Jackson G. Fowles and wife, Sandra of Litch-field, NH, a daughter, Rebecca Starkey and husband, John of Center Barnstead, NH, 4 grandchildren, Adam Johnson and wife Kerri of Salem, MA, Sara Fowles of Nashua, NH, Patrick Starkey and wife, Marife of Concord, NH, and Amanda Starkey of Portsmouth, NH and 3 great-grandchildren. At her request there will be no services.
