Elizabeth A. (Sheltra) McMullen, 64, died Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Jack Byrne Center for Hospice Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

She was born on January 16, 1962, in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Wilfred Sheltra, Sr. and the late Frances A. Horner. Liz is a graduate of North Country Union High School. Liz loved her animals and left behind her dedicated and emotional support dog, Gemma. On sunny days, Liz enjoyed motorcycle rides and family.

Liz is survived by her three sisters, Bernadette Sheltra, Mary Sheltra and Pamela Hopp; and two brothers, Wilfred Sheltra Jr. and Steven Sheltra, who served as her dedicated caretaker. In addition to her mother, Liz was predeceased by her siter, Debbie Tefft.

SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 13, 2026 under the white tent at Prouty Beach in Newport, Vermont. Family and friends are invited to attend and encourage you to wear her favorite color, purple.

A graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Liz’s memory to your local Humane Society.
