Elizabeth Sherwood

Elizabeth Julia Sherwood, 49 passed away August 8, 2025 at Sullivan County Nursing home in Unity NH with her sister Rebecca (Becky) holding her. She was born to Sharon (Starkey) Sherwood on November 14,1975 in Rutland Vt.

She graduated with the Class of ’94 from Stevens High School in Claremont NH. Liz grew up from the age of 5 in Claremont NH.

She was an aunt first and foremost. Liz wanted children of her own someday and when she was unable, she became a second mom to her nieces and nephews in helping raise them at some point within their lives. Liz was a diehard Nascar fan (Kyle Busch & Jeff Gordon). As well as a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Liz in survived by her sister Rebecca VT, twin brothers Daniel (Tina) & Timothy (Stacey) both of NC. Nephews and nieces, Aaron VT, Kyle FL, Tyler NH, Christopher NH, Brandy NH, Trevor NC, Daniel Jr NC, Timothy JR NC, Elisabeth NC (who was named after Liz). And the class of ’94.

Liz is predeceased by her mother, brother in laws Jeff & Ken (Rebecca), nephew Zachary, niece Sabrina and also her best friend Sharon Bundy.

Liz will be laid to rest next to her mother in Oakland Cemetery, Springfield VT on August 23, 2025 at 2:00pm. A reception will be held following her burial at a place to be announced.

Liz favorite colors were her high school colors black and red. We ask that you join us in wearing black/red in honor of her.
