Ellen Jean Riendeau, of Stewartstown, New Hampshire, Passed away peacefully at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital on July 26, 2026 with her daughter by her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ellen was born on August 3,1957, at Coos County Hospital to Jean Pickeney and Gordon Moren. Throughout her life, she was known for her strong work ethic, creativity, love of family and friends, and compassion for animals.
Over the years, Ellen held a variety of occupations and excelled in each one. She was the owner and sign painter of Riendeau Signs, worked as a dispatcher for G&E Transport and other multiple trucking companies, made wreaths for Weir's tree farm, served as a cook for a catering service and various restaurants, and was a foreman at Williams Scotsman. No matter the role, Ellen approached her work with dedication, skill and pride.
Outside of her career, Ellen's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved taking her children on camping trips, fishing adventures, horseback rides, skiing, and riding her motorcycle in her free time. She was also a talented crafter who enjoyed sewing, knitting, ceramics, crocheting, and cross-stitching. Her creativity and generosity were reflected in the many handmade treasures she shared with those she loved.
Ellen had a special place in her heart for animals and cherished every pet that became part of her family. Her love extended not only to her children and grandchildren but also to her beloved grandpuppies, whom she adored just as much.
Ellen is survived by her mother, Jean Pickeney; brother, David Moren; and her devoted partner of 30 years, Richard Kelloway; her daughters, Katie Whiteman (husband, Mike Whiteman), Roxanne Herres (husband, Albion Herres) and Monica Rice (husband, Kevin Rice). She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and five cherished grandpuppies, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Johnathan Moren and Michael Moren.
Ellen will be remembered for her strength, determination, creativity, sense of adventure, and the love she gave to her family and animals. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
