ELLEN EMERY SMITH Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother with a wonderful sense of humor Ellen Emery Smith, 63, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Concord Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Ellen was born in Portland, Maine as the second daughter to Edward and Alice Emery on June 17, 1942. Ellen graduated from Philip Andover Academy, Andover Massachusetts. On June 22, 1959 Ellen married Raymond E. Smith and subsequently had two sons. They relocated from Newmarket to Concord in 1968. Ellen joined New Hampshire Savings Bank in 1970 and held various positions. Ellen left in 1987 to join the New Hampshire Banker Association as the Assistant Vice President of Membership Services where Ellen stayed until 1991. From 1991 to present Ellen owned and operated EES Associates and Organizing Solutions. Ellen enjoyed quilting, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Ellen was predeceased by son, Craig S. Smith and sister, Patricia Wolfe. Ellen is survived by her husband Ray of 46 years, son Darren and his wife, Lee-Anne and grandson Dan, and close friends, Peg and Bill Flint. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday December 5, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Bow Mills United Methodist Church, 505 South Street, Bow NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to: Payson Center for Cancer Cure, C/O Concord Hospital, 250 Pleasant St, Concord NH, 03301 or Canterbury Shaker Village, Inc, 288 Shaker Road, Canterbury NH 03224.
