Ellenor D. Stratton, of Pembroke, NH passed away at 84 years old at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord NH on August 17, 2023. Ellenor was born in Gimli, Manitoba on October 25, 1938 to Alma and Emil Yeski and had 1 brother and 5 sisters. She married Garry R. Stratton and started a family in Canada. Shortly after their fourth daughter was born they moved to the United States.
Ellie was an exceptional housewife and magnificent mother while volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader and Brownie Leader. She loved playing bridge and joined a 10 pin bowling league. She was a spectacular bowler and had a family room full of trophies to prove it! As her daughters grew older she began her 32 year career with CVS. She was the Manager her own store for many years and then transitioned to the Pharmacy Technician role prior to retiring. Her family was her life and she was our matriarch. The glue of the family. Her kind and caring way gave each family member a special place to call home. She entertained and hosted Holidays, Birthdays, BBQ's, Apple Picking days or any other event the family had regardless of the increasing number of family members we had as the years went on. She loved her children and grandchildren but the apple of her eye were her great grandchildren.
She loved to travel and vacationed often with family. She has been around the world twice, loved Casino's near and far, gardening, reading, entertaining and Christmas baking. She taught all her daughters the magic of Christmas baking and now the tradition has carried down through generations. Ellie was a lifelong contributor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Ellenor is survived by her 2 sisters; Lydie Marchak, Beverly Williams and her brother Henry Yeski, her 4 daughters; Lyn Whitehead, Donna Rae Morgan and husband Michael Morgan, Joan Kelley and Kelly Pierdomenico. She had 6 grandchildren; Jamie Lee Givens, Tara Leigh Bales, Daniel Rumbo, Brittany Bolen and husband Robert Bolen III, Heather Jobin and husband Kyle Jobin, Nicole Pinsonneault and husband David Pinsonneault. Her 8 great grandchildren range in age from 21 years to 11 months; Kayla, Hannah, Shelby, Brielle, Robert, Connor, Isla and Nora. Ellenor was truly blessed with family and ALL loved and adored her. Even strangers would gravitate toward her.
Ellenor was predeceased by her mother & father, husband and 3 sisters; Elsi Ireland, Irene Powroznik and Joyce Wiebe.
