Mr. Emelio Medaglia passed away early on Sunday, October 3, 2021, of natural causes. He passed away peacefully at his home in Rumney NH surrounded by the love of his wife, children and grandchildren.

Emelio was the beloved husband of Teresa (Lucente) Medaglia. Devoted and Loving Father to the late Emelio Medaglia, Domenica Medaglia-Brown and her husband William Brown, Samantha Pouliot and partner Scott Godbois, Amelia Philbin and Husband Brendan Philbin, Daniel Medaglia, Antonio Medaglia and his partner Alyssa Beck. Loving grandfather to Domenic, Gabriella, Shyanne, Zebulen, Keegan, Ashtyn, Nick, James and his partner Angelee and their son, (great grandson) Ryzer, Nathan, Isabella and her partner Daveon, Caitlin and Jacob. Devoted son of the late Joseph F. Medaglia and Julia R. (Augusta) Medaglia. Dear brother to the late Joseph Medaglia and wife Carlyn(De Fay) of Agoura, CA, sisters Santa (Medagalia) and husband Robert Camtuzano, Amelia (Medaglia) Diaz and husband Ralph of Playa Del Rey, CA, Juliet (Medaglia)Herrera and husband Thomas of Santa Clarita Valley, CA, Rosmarie (Medaglia) Montenotte and husband Vincent of Los Angelas, CA and Ida (Medaglia) Bach and Husband Jim of Temecula, CA Brother in Law to the late Martin Lucente of West Newton, MA and wife Carol(Harrington), Dominic Lucente and his wife Cathryn (Young) of Ashland, NH, Dr. Rosalie Suescun of Westwood, MA, the late Anthony Lucente and his late wife Diane(Campbell) of Framingham, Ma, Robert Lucente and his late Wife Lois(Wasserman) of Foxborough MA, In addition, he is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families, and many close friends.
Emelio was born in Haverhill, MA. He was raised in Culver City, CA with the love of his parents, brother and five sisters. Emelio married the love of his life Teresa on December 26, 1971. They made Rumney NH their home in 1980 where they raised their five children and for three years Emelio and Teresa helped raised their Bonus son, Ernie Ciaccio. In this time Emelio became a private mentor for Ernie, forming a deep bond.
Emelio quickly became a integral part of the Plymouth State University community in his 29 years of work there. He was a quiet man who worked hard for his family and community. He enjoyed raising animals, gardening, hunting, the outdoors but more than anything, mentoring his children, grandchildren and some children in the community through his love of youth sports. He was loving and always found love and kindness in all that knew him.
It was decided to wait until December 26th, 2021 to have A celebration of life for Emelio, as it would have been Emelio and Teresa’s 50th Wedding Anniversary Day. To be held at Russell Elementary School, 195 School Street, Rumney, NH 03266. Starting at 11AM with the Rosary to begin at 11:30
