Erika Lee (Rydgren) Rackliffe

Erika Lee (Rydgren) Rackliffe, 60, passed away on June 30, 2020 surrounded by loved ones after bravely battling cancer for four years. She married her husband Brian Rackliffe on February 24, 2002 and they resided in Seabrook, NH.

She was born in Salem, Massachusetts on June 11, 1960 and was the daughter of the late Norman and Maryanne (Shepherd) Rydgren. She was raised in Danvers, Massachusetts. Erika was a loving wife and mom who always encouraged her children to be themselves and thrive. She always had a smile and helpful advice to anyone who needed it. Erika was happiest spending time with her family, she will be greatly missed and cherished by all who knew her.

Erika was a creative, smart and engaging woman of many talents and enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, gardening, camping and reading. She was known for her chocolate cake and lasagna and was part of global online knitting communities. Erika loved the beach and the calm sound of the ocean waves and trips to find the best seafood spots. She always looked forward to craft fairs and festivals, especially the Scandinavian ones, and searching for hidden gems or antiques.

She had many diverse interests that ranged from being in theater, to getting her massage license, to working in HR at Sam's Club. She enjoyed being with people and continuously learning new things.

Erika is survived by her four children; Aliyah Torrance and her husband, Geoffrey, Alexandra Mekelatos and her partner, Dwayne James and Braeden and Torin Rackliffe; two step-children, Jessica Shurr and Justin Rackliffe; four grandchildren, Satiera, Madison, Tyler and Addison; two sisters, Lauren Cummings and her husband, Robert and Kristin Rydgren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, we will be having a private service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
