Ernest Peter Arredondo, 85, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, in Nashua, New Hampshire. Born on September 29, 1941, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Ernest lived a life defined by devotion to family, service to his country, and a steady, gentle presence that touched all who knew him.
A proud veteran and railroad retiree, Ernie carried those values throughout his life. He was the beloved husband of the late Judith Arredondo, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership.
Ernie was a devoted father to Terry Upham, Lisa Arredondo, and Jason Arredondo, and a loving father-in-law to Kirsty Arredondo. He was a cherished grandfather to Cameron Upham and William Arredondo. He was the son of Luther Arredondo and Antoinette Arredondo Cahoon (Jurisic) and grew up in a large family with many siblings who helped shape his early years.
An avid sports fan and accomplished athlete in his youth, Ernie excelled in football, track and field, and rugby. He passed his love of sports on to his children and was often found in the stands, on the pitch, or on the sidelines cheering them on.
Ernest will be remembered for his steady presence, unwavering loyalty, and quiet strength. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate to know him.
