Ernest Paul Gelinas, 77, of Salisbury, NH, died on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at his home. He was born on November 13, 1946, the son of Ernest and Pauline (Raymond) Gelinas. He was the husband of Kathy Gelinas. They were married on June 19th in Concord, NH and recently celebrated 54 years of marriage together this June.
Ernest attended Concord High School. Over the years, he was employed by National Fence and Granite, Lugg Construction, and Associate Concrete. His hobbies included horseback riding, rabbit hunting, wood splitting and carpentry. He enjoyed being with family, taking care of his animals and his land, taking his grandchildren to horse shows, owning trucks, having coffee and donuts with his buddies, baking desserts and cooking, lending a helping hand to his friends and family, growing blueberry bushes, and viewing vintage cars. Years ago, he enjoyed his camp in Columbia, NH, with all of his hunting buddies, and carpentry projects.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Kathy Gelinas; his children, Stephen, David and Michael Gelinas; his grandchildren, Amber, Alex, Christian, Kaelyn, Jake, Ethan and Ella; his great-grandchildren, Mason, Rhett and Raelynn; his siblings, William “Billy” Gelinas, Paul Gelinas, Rita Chiappa, Daniel Gelinas and Lynn Fournier. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Gelinas.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 29, 2024 from 1-4PM at the Gelinas Family Home, 103 Couchtown Road, Salisbury, NH 03268. Please scroll down to the bottom of the page to see an invitation with more details.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution to, Dawn-Mar Ranch to their Changing Lives Equine Program; Changing Lives Equine Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization associated with Dawn-Mar Ranch. The mission statement of this non-profit is to help people with or without life challenges and/or disabilities gain confidence, find acceptance and experience the joys of life through the love, care and riding of retired and rescued horses; and to provide nourishment and humane care for aged, retired, and rescued horses.
