Ethel J. Barns

Ethel ''Jeanette'' Barns, 75, of Milford died November 9, 2002 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Mrs. Barns was born on May 6, 1927 daughter of the late William and Edith (Soule) Stevenson. She was born in Norwalk, Connecticut and was very active in the Girl Scouts. She moved to Milford in 1970. She worked for Kollsman Manufacturing in Merrimack for 15 years and retired in 1993. Family members include; her husband of 55 years, Roger B. Barns; one son, John Barns of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Elaine Draper of Milford, NH; four grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother, William Stevenson of Milford, CT; two sisters, Barbara Scalici of Norwalk, CT and Helen Jaeger of Williamstown, MA; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th at 4:30 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire Chapel, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
