Eugene Hannah

Eugene Hannah – known to his family and friends as Gene, peacefully passed away in his sleep early Saturday morning June 26, 2021 at the age of 85 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Gene was born in Fitchburg, MA on August 10, 1935. He retired from James River Paper in 1997. He will be will be remember as a loving husband, father and wonderful friend. Gene was truly a family man, known for his kindness, generosity, and his love for laughter.

Gene was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years Beverly Hannah; his parents Raymond Hannah and Ellen Champagne; his sister Nancy Holbein; his cherished grandchildren Nicole Menchion Kenneson and Jordan Gene Hannah; and his son-in-law Thomas Menchion.

Gene leaves behind his daughter Debbie Menchion; his son John Hannah along with his wife Brenda Hannah; his five surviving grandchildren Heidi Menchion Troxell, Joshua Menchion, Thomas (Skeet) Menchion, Jillian Sheets, and Zachary Hannah, all of New Hampshire. He also leaves 15 great grandchildren Hannah Leger 23, Lexi Caron 20, Danielle Troxell 19, Caleb Pope 18, Ethan Troxell 17, Jacob Menchion 16, Brianna Menchion 14, Clayton Kenneson 14, Zachary Hannah 14, Gabrielle Menchion 13, Katelyn Menchion 12, Grace Menchion 11, Stella Sheets 9, Aubree Hannah 8, and last but not least little Vinny Sheets 6. Gene also leaves behind his favorite and only brother Warren and his wife Diane Hannah; his devoted sister Cathy and her husband Dominic Consalvo; as well as his sister Genevie Gowell; and several nieces and nephews.
