Evan Thomas Ford returned to God on October 6th, 2026 after a difficult battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born on April 28th, 1964 to Douglas and Gail (Forest) Ford of Concord, NH. He married his true love, Becky (Shattuck) Ford in 1994, and was blessed with four daughters; Sarah, Leah, Danielle and Kirie Ford.
Evan graduated from Nashua HS, class of 1982. He served in the US Marines 1982-1986, stationed at Camp Pendleton with tours to Korea, Okinawa and the Philippines. He attended Keene State College, and graduated from UNH in 1996 with a degree in Horticulture and Agronomy. Evan spent 25 years working and managing the University of New Hampshire Agricultural Experiment Station in Durham, NH. He left a lasting impact on the UNH community through his patient leadership.
Evan’s faith led him through a life of service to others, from many mission trips (both local and international), to building his parents house to helping his daughters move. He was a talented carpenter and fully renovated and remodeled his & Becky’s home to fit their growing family and his many farming pursuits. Any project Evan’s hands touched would be finished meticulously and thoroughly. Over his life he taught himself gardening, baking, electrical work, plumbing, farming, animal husbandry, and many many more skills. He was deeply thoughtful, and his handiwork said a thousand words. He talked the least and worked the most.
Evan leaves behind his parents, wife, and daughters as well as his brother, Clay (Karen Lee) Ford, Father-in-law Daniel Shattuck, sisters and brothers-in-laws Susan & Todd Swass, Jessica & Russ Shipman, Adam Shattuck and Tracy Shattuck, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother in law, Travis Shattuck.
